Launching our whatsapp account support
As part of our continued focus on innovation, accessibility, and better municipal engagement, Municipex is excited to announce the launch of our new WhatsApp Account Support.
This new digital channel has been developed to improve the way residents and account holders engage with municipal account information, statements, payments, and account-related queries.
In many municipalities, revenue collection is not only affected by affordability or willingness to pay. It is also affected by simple communication challenges. Residents may not receive statements on time. Queries may not be logged properly. Payment references may be incorrect. Disputes may remain unresolved for too long. In some cases, residents want to pay, but do not know where to start.
Our WhatsApp platform is designed to reduce these barriers.
Through this platform, residents can receive municipal account communication, request statements, obtain payment information, log account queries, and be guided toward the correct support channel. The objective is to make municipal account engagement easier, faster, and more accessible.
This is an important step in the way municipalities communicate with residents.
WhatsApp is already one of the most widely used communication platforms in South Africa. By using a familiar and accessible channel, municipalities can improve statement reach, reduce unnecessary walk-ins, improve payment guidance, and support better query resolution.
